LMAO I just noticed that... I'll find a smaller pic to link to. That's big enough to tune all the string section of the London Philharmonic to.

Buddy had one of those, they make for excellent practice instruments. Does yours allow soundshaping? My buddies may not have been the very first in that range...

I'm actually sitting here next to my Marshall Microstack. I ran out and bought it after I saw Dimebag Darrell using it on the street in an old Pantera video.

If you search the web I remember seeing a guy who had an essay on an easy way to upgrade them to make them killer sounding. Something like cutting out the wood across the speaker front and replacing the speakers.

I got the MS4 by Marshall (that's the fullstack), used to be in my avatar on here. Thing rocks! Too bad it has no real low, I'll try it with a 212 sometime and let you know.
I just went out for the Vox AmplugCab, theyre not in stock overhere for at least a week or two, did get the AC30 Amplug. I had my heart set on that for a long time, I just don't like playing with headphones and was planning on adding a cabinet of some sorts to it. Vox did me a favor really.
They were out of Fender Tweed minis too, that blows... ordered one to pickup when the Vox cab arrives.

I'll try to locate it. Here ya go:\\
There are TWO TRICKS to getting these amps to sound fantastic. Firstly, TOSS THE ORIGINAL SPEAKERS in the garbage can... The amps come with a couple of Chinese Celestion copys that have no high end and a very muddy bottom (and the cabs are closed backs). Replace the speakers with quality Celestion 10s, I initially used G10L-35s which worked GREAT, recently swapped those for some 25W Celestion 10s that are a little more efficient and a little louder. REAL Celestion 10s will give you clear and cutting top end and replace the mud in the bottom end with some balls! The second tweak goes along with the first, when you have removed the original speaker, you will notice that there is a BAFFLE that runs across the MIDDLE of the speaker opening (so they can hang that MARSHALL logo on the front of the cab.) The baffle blocks about 30% of the speaker opening, and also muddys up the tone ... CUT IT OUT. I use a dremel tool with a rotary cutting blade, wedge something under the cut so you don't cut the grill cloth. With these simple mods I find I prefer just to use one cabinet per head (halfstacks). I use many different guitars and they all seem to work decently with these amps... Weaker pickups tend to be more lyrical and overwound "distortion" type pickups produce more overtones and feedack. Great stuff for HARD Rock/Pop/Metal. The amps themselves are quiet and present no problems when used on stage
