  • Rebuilding The Lefty Kramer Pacer

So I grabbed a lefty Kramer Pacer Custom I body off ebay pretty cheap. That sparked some interest in finding parts to complete this creature. I wasn't sure I wanted to go 100% Kramer or not. I found just about everything pierod correct, minus the pups. This dude had a triple set for $75 bucks, couldn't pass it up! Duncan Invader in the bridge, a Little Screamn Demon in middle, and a Hot Rails for the neck. My big choice is the right neck to use. I really am obsessed with the Charvel necks right now and would definitely like to be playing on that with a Kramer body. Kramer necks are cool, but their fatness bothers me compared to playing my Jackson Stealth EXL or Ibanez RG470L. I'll definitely post pics once I have all the parts in front of me.

If your gonna keep and play it then go for the comfort you may have to woden the heel to take the Jackson neck but that is no biggie if you got a router .

Well, I ended up getting a r***t handed kramer neck. I bought a Kramer flying V for $150 and is just keeping the neck and plate. Going to part it out and hopefully it'll pay for itself. Original floyd rose, screamn demon pickup, etc.

Once I have all the parts in front of me i'll take a pic of FRANKENSTEIN for ya!

Well its a righty. I just took the neck/neckplate off for the use of my Kramer pacer. Going to sell the body/parts on ebay or here.

So I sold the Kramer stuff and stuck with this amazing Warmoth walnut/ebony neck I found on this body, ended up selling the body for more than what I bought the entire the guitar for so i basically got a free neck.:thrash:

With the extra cash I bought a KNE lefty guitar body. The specs are:

            ALDER
            1 HUM, 1 SLANTED SINGLE
            HIPSHOT HARDTAIL BRIDGE
BARREL JACK INSTEAD OF FENDER STYLE JACK

I'm extremely excited to get started on this project! I have everything but the body just yet. I plan on doing a Deep triple-step stain process that Carvin made famous. Put a coat of ebony stain on, sand of to leave in the softer grain, etc. I plan on using Slime green stain burst (dark to light in center) Then to mix things up i plan on doing a tung oil finish to the guitar, along with bees wax. I can still get the guitar nice and shiny with tung, but its going to be more to get the best possible sound out of the wood. ONCE again, when I have all the parts handy, I'll post pics of the entire process! Stay tuned~!
