  • After 10 Years...

    And 30+ guitars... I've settled on these two. They basically give me all the sounds I need and both play incredibly well. Both are Musicman John Petrucci Signature models. The first is a standard and the second one is a Ball Family Reserve.

    I can't argue with those babies, why did they make the BFR ones lack the arm cutaway? Sometimes I wish I got a JP7

        Arm Cuttaway

        I know what you mean about the BFR JP6 not having the cool arm cuttway like the standard JP6 does. I think it's because of the flame maple top on the BFR. The cuttaway on the standard probably goes deeper than the maple top is thick. Neck is a little thicker feeling on the BFR as well. Still plays like a dream though.
