  • my miniscule lefty collection :(

I finally found another lefty charvel 2b...although I'm not too keen on burgandyMist (champagne), it's not like these things are too popular and all over the place for sale

here's my only other lefty units in the house the white 2b and a 89 475DLX...all the rest of the collection are righthanded << I hope I won't get banned for using that word --hahahaha

I like that BurgandyMist Charvel. I think the design along with the contrasting black helps the color pop out.

now that I found another lefty, in the near future I'm gonna turn my white one into my righthanded counterpart I traded for the crackle finish and won't have to worry about it being gone for a month while it's being routed and painted.

I cant figure out where Jackson got the name BurgundyMist from to describe the color because it is the farthest thing from burgundy I ever saw

more like Metallic Pink to me...lol

the Schecter and Epi in the pic are my guitarplayers axes. I'ts funny to me to try to play them with the E string on top trying to make chords backwards.

(backwards for me that is since I play inverted as the norm )

more like Patricia Pink or Chris Champagne -- hehehe

Charvel says this color is black cherry...to me it is plain old metallic PURPLE...

but hey, it's an 80's guitar and needs to reflect the idiotic colors the users wanted in guitars back then right?
Hey Matt do you know Glenn from the band "No more Johnny" that's our new guitarplayer whose axes are behind the basses..

                  ( If I asked in another post..sorry )

give me a shout in a email cause I want to send you some tickets so you can come for free to our show: ( I don't care about money, we just need a head count at the ALTER bar to make them happy )

that 575 is our guitarplayers, not mine. It plays like a soloist the way he has it setup so he says. Very nice and he bought it at a pawnshop up here for 100 bucks missing a knob and the selector switch didn't work...it has all been repaired since that pic was taken, and was a excellent find.

I play the bass/guitar inverted strings style so noodling on a guitar that don't have the strings flipped isn't something I can jump on and play crazy riff on.

HOWEVER, inverted is a different story.
I'm no guitarplayer, but if you wanna see some "inverted" noodling:

Same with basses I "can" play them with the E on top, but prefer not to since I'm used to playing inverted strings...if you look at the pic of the pink and white one, I just got the pink one and haven't flipped the strings yet.

think "Jim Haslep", or "Jeff Schmidt" ...2 famous lefty inverted bass players, or my FAVORITE inverted guitar players Man Kidal ( a Vietnamese Yngwie Malmsteen clone ).

                        the lefty collection continues

here's one generic charvelhead looking warrior. As long as the neck is cool, I'll throw some good pups in it.

for under 100 bucks I couldnt say no, and it should be delivered sometime this week -

MAy is bringing a couple new lefty toys

so I bought a cheap bass, and then someone offered me this for under 100 and I just bought it for another lefty toy

in my post #12 here I said I picked up a cheap lefty...yep total junk like an SX our of the box. The Bridge was junk, the p-pickup was only 4.95k ohms and not 8k and sounded like a muddy mess, the cap on the tone knob did almost nothing, and the MM pickup has very little output.

that was then.. Since I have so much parts in the house it now has a Jackson bridge, Jackson tone knob, EMG p-pickup out of my old Kramer, and will eventually have a coil tap switch for the MM pickup, but for now it plays perfectly EXCEPT for the horrible neckdive like a Tbird but I'll sport it on stage at the next show for sure.......

not to keep all the lefty's out of the "loop" as they say, but here's a family pic of all the pointy-stuff I had at the house last week minus a couple that just happen not to be there for picture taking

yea, quite a few righthanded units, but what can I say, I'm a "flipper" when needed and this pic shows the TRUE color of that pink lefty.
