Currently only have one as my other guitar is at the shop, although I should get it back this week (deliberately being vague so when I do post it'll be more fun ).

Ibanez RG1570L, with several mods:

Tremol-no (with new back cover for access)
DiMarzio ToneZone, Red Velvet and PAF Pro pickups
Edge Pro bridge locking stud modification (bought kit from IbanezRules.com)
Straps in pics are DiMarzio ClipLock but they didn't go short enough so I replaced them with a knock-off version that is several inches shorter.

I assume that finish was Euro only..but it sure is sweet. Reminds me of the night sky. I had the same problem with the DiMarzio ClipLocks, but I'm just dealing with it since I'm lazy.

Quite shocked to see 6 strings, perhaps the other guitar has more?

It's Mirage Blue, which was a nice change since previous guitars had been black and.... well, black. This guitar replaced the RG470 I'd owned previously and the jump from standard RG to Prestige model was worth the extra £.

The 1570 is black in most places but I guess for once they relented and did a run with colour.

I have a picture or two of it stock under sunlight too so you can see the difference a bit of light makes:




Got new furniture to match the new carpet shortly after those pics lol, bad clash!

The other guitar almost certainly has an extra string!

Due to being poor and slow to pay this off (and I'm practically broke now lol, need to sell some parts. If you want some EMG 707's check my FS thread I'll make after lunch!!!) it's been a while since I took this in for mods. Got it back yesterday, very pleased! No more faffing about with this one, it's done. Missed my low B so so much!

Mods were:
SD Blackouts replacing EMG 707s
Tremol-no + new TN friendly back cover
Actual lefty locking nut instead of the previous two-nut (standard and righty locking nut) solution
Faggy wiring with the EMGs (since they were done to be turned 'left handed' the volume would cut out at 10 :\)
Mirror pickguard

Actual guitar:
Mahogany
Maple neck
25.5" scale
6105 frets (ss)
LoProEdge 7 bridge (modded for lefty)
3 way toggle switch
2 volume 1 tone

no offense,but why does everyone like Ibanez so much? i hate those guitars,they sound bad and feel cheap. the only way i would buy one is if thats all i could get, or i had the $$$$$ to customize it with new pups,OFR,and a new neck.

All subjective and it depends on what you play. The Prestige line of stuff is nicely made, and the Edge Pro bridge (with stud mod) is just as good as either the Edge/LoPro Edge or OFR, with the OFR being better only by virtue of higher quality materials used. They both return to pitch just as well as one another when set up correctly.

Unless you get a high end or sig model the pickups do suck for the most part but it's not like it breaks the bank to swap them out for something better. The RG470 I had originally was a bit cheap but the 1570 blows it out the water, but you'd expect that jumping from a low-end model to a middle range one (now high end with my mods dare I say it).

Ibanez makes great, versatile guitars. If you go back to the square neck joint models even the low end 550/560/570 were terrific axes. The stock pickups were amazing for in-house (probably had some Dimarzio in them anyway). The stock S1 pickup in the neck position produces the sweetest strat sound.

Great necks, consistent quality. The Edge tremelo is considered superior to OFR to some, equal to most.

Plus that "check" logo is so cool.
