  • Why????? No Lefty Floyd's on Carvins?

This is the most viewed thread on the BBS at the Carvin Site. I have tried to ask the reps at Carvin for a reason behind this and to no avail. I don't want to start another thread on lefty Floyds. However I would like the answer on Why Lefty Floyd's are not avail.

According to my own research there really is NO REASON why this is not an option.

    Look at Page 2

It is simply ridiculous. The floyd is CLEARLY available left-handed, and Carvin put them on their guitars for years.

This is why we need a strong website, so we can go to companies like this and challenge them with a LOT of customers.

Yeah, the option of a lefty floyd rose was a deal breaker when I was looking for customs. Though i still ended up getting a tailpiece lawlz.

Or else i would of had a carvin, and seeing as how their 2 "extreme" shapes are righty only. Though i could pick up an old lefty one in SD.

Speaking of lefty FR's I never get why Ibanez can't just sell the Lo Pro Edge and have them all machined like the K7 guitars where both sides have the hole for the U-Bar and can therefore be either right or left-handed with a standard bar from the get-go.

Don't even get me started! Is it to much to ask for the XIPHOS in left?

I doubt it, Ibby only do low end models and one Prestige model atm (was the 1570 like I have now it's a 1550). Ibanez Japan sometimes do some additional left-handed guitars you can get via ordering online but they're almost exclusively RGs which is a shame. If you want a Xiphos (I REALLY like the new 27 fret version with the deeper bevels!) your best option is to go custom. Roter guitars are just doing somebody an 8-string Xiphos on the SevenString.org board for example.
