  • What style neck does everybody like the best?

I'm a personal fat of the Ibanez Wizard 2's. Its not quite as small as a Jackson neck, but big enough my hands. I'm a big dude and the Ibanez's somewhat bigger superstrat type body really fits me. I'm more into Jackson sound though.

Is the sanding all done by hand?

I agree that bare finshed or oiled necks work the best for me. My hands get really sticky with painted necks until I'm sweating up a storm.

Of course, it varies from guitar to guitar, but allowing for sympathetic design-types, my ideal neck would be a Fender-style V-shaped neck, 7.25" radius, 42 or 41mm nut width, glossy maple board, satin back.

I think the nicest I've played were either the EBMM JP ones or a custom Feline with an asymmetrical neck. I'll definitely be looking at those in the future.

what ever specs my Jackson Ke2 neck has, its easily the best I've ever wrapped my hands around, and its painted which I prefer cause I'm odd apperently. I love it.

Schecter necks or wizard necks, they're completely different as wizards are thin and fast whereas shected are quite chunky. Considering i have quite small hands though (26.5" scale neck can only reach from 1st to 5th fret) i still prefer schecters chunkeir necks, its taken some slight adjustment in my playing style i'll admit but its done me no harm either.
They're just so comfortable, no flat spot on the back so it kinda fits the curve of my hand really really well. SCHECTER FTW!!!

If a million die its a statistic,
