  • Warmoth body and neck Help

I am thinking about buying a warmoth body and neck. The body is gonna be strat style with tune-o-matic bridge and stop piece with HSH in ash and the neck is rosewood with abalone inlay and the pickups SD. Can you guys gimme some input as far as hardtail vs floyd and as far as warmoth is in general.

Will the scale work with the tune-o-matic bridge or will you have to bore your own string through ? I can't recall seeing a strat with one, makes me wonder why ...

Tune-o-matics are too sharp for me as I anchor heavy on my pick hand and they dig in. So I stay clear of them. The only one I like is on my SZ520QM ... it's smooth, smooth, smooth. I don't know if you're near Pennsylvania but I have this up for sale for $340 w/HSC (it weighs a ton so, it'd be pretty expensive to ship)more pics here http://philadelphia.craigslist.org/msg/1199543302.html

i'd go with a FR and just tremol-no it if you're over the vibrato part

FR's are super smooth but more expensive than a tune-o-matic

and yes you can throw a tune-o-matic on a strat but i'd suggest throwing a fender/schaller style hardtail bridge on it instead because that's the standard hardtail setup for fenders
