  • What do you think of MusicMan?

One of the local stores has a MusicMan lefty 6 string coming in, and I'm curious - do they meet the hype (and price).

I've owned several & used a Lefty Music Man Silhouette Special as my only gigging guitar for 5 years. They're very well made, have excellent Customer Service support and play really well.
As for whether they're worth the money......up to you.

Love them. I have three and want more. For me just the best guitars around. Get a feel for their necks, each model is different. When you find what you like, you will never look back.

Terrific quality, made in the USA, allegedly superior customer service (never needed it).

I have a Silo Special that I ordered new in the 90's and a couple of hardtail Axis SS, one with dual humbuckers and the second with solid rosewood neck and top and MM90 pickups. They are a lot different to the standard Fender /Squier and Gibson / Epiphone camps. The necks are extremely fast, first time I played the Silo it felt awkward, but when I when back to an American Standard Strat the neck on the strat felt really awkward.

If they used normal sized dots they would look huge on those necks !

If you ever feel the need to make room in your house I'd be VERY interested in the bottom 2..........maybe we could even swap something.........or swap some cash, especially for the green SS

Stop it already with all these guitars...you people are going to drive me straight to divorce court!!!

Way too many cool guitars being shown here lately.

                  Man that is hot...

And by the way, I don't ever want to hear again that the lefty guitar selection sucks. I guess we just need to seek them out.

I never had the pleasure of playing one but they're really good looking guitars.

The rosewood EBMM is probably twice the weight of the Axis with humbuckers, and the neck is seriously funky, very very smooth and silky.

I'll keep that in mind, though at the moment I don't have any plans on selling any. EBMM are another of those top notch brands that seem to go unnoticed by the vast majority of players.
