I'm in terrible need of one! How much do they usually go for since I know they are quite rare?

There are a couple different versions. If you're looking for the 80's ones, then I've seen them go anywhere from $1500 and up depending on condition. I've seen the faded versions go for a lot less.

          that's awesome!

WHY OH WHY does it have to be 2,800

if it was 1,800 then I'd be able to grab it.

How much do you guys think this is worth?

Alright! I didn't know the standard and the X factor were basically the same guitar =\

With that in mind, knowing how much they are worth new, I'm going to send him an offer of 1,575 shipped. I understand from a seller's perspective the want to make a buck off the fact that it's rare and I can live with that.

You guys think 1,575 is a decent price for a V in this condition?

Jim at SouthPaw guitars said that there will be a V Standard this year in black and cherry for $1499...no Explorers though
                  I like pointy guitars.

Hey bro are you interested in a GIBSON V? Or do you just want a V? Because for less than the money you are willing to spend, I could build you a Warmoth V. In my opinion they make the best parts around and you can spec out all the pickups, controls and how it is wired. I'm just putting it out there that you have that option.

Feel free to PM me and we can talk about this if you like. I am trying to get my name out there as a quality luthier and I would love to build you a custom spec V. Let me know your thoughts good or bad.

I'm not trying to solicit business per se It's just really slow with my day job and I could use the project.

Of course I really can't help you out if you have your heart set on a Gibby Vee!! Just wanted to let you know you have the option of contacting a left handed luthier!!

                        Thanks for the heads up!

2,000 for a faded is bit over the top though for a Canuck like me
