  • Valley Arts Brent Mason

I've heard of this company but I don't know much about them. From the guitars description, I know it's not for me because I do have small hands. A cool looking guitar none the less.

Here is a demo of it with Brent

    That is sweet looking!!!!

Valley Arts is presently owned by Gibson. So, I'm sure it is a fine guitar. I think they bought them about 4 or 5 years ago.

I enquired about that guitar in early 08, they wouldn't ship outside of the US. The price of that guitar in Ireland wouldn't bear thinking about, probably closer to $3500.

So I ended up going for a G&L ASAT III, I bought it off Jerry from jerrysleftyguitars, it was his own personal guitar.

The neck on that one is very similar to a 90s' Strat or Tele, slim and fast. It has three MFD pickups with a five way switch for those in between tones.

          It has both !

The pickups used are the same as those used in the G&L S500 Strat style guitars. The neck pickup is very Strat like, the bridge pickup is pure Tele. The middle pickup I don't use too much on its' own but it allows for those out of phase tones with the two outside pickups.

Here is my S-500 from 1982. It's got great tone but the neck is pretty thick.
