Default MIJ Ibanez RG470 $199 at Music Go Round

Not an Ibanez guy but this doesn't look like a bad deal:

That looks like a really good deal to me. Made in Japan, so its better than most shit theyve offered in the last 10-12 yrs.

It probably worth $300. It has the Lo-TRS bridge which is not the greatest but I've heard an OFR will drop right in in its place. Other than the bridge it's a great guitar!

OFR won't drop in it's place, the Gotoh Floyd will.

The people who bitch about the Lo-TRS likely only have experience with the Korean-made ones.

An Original Floyd will indeed drop into them, just the recessed routing is shaped for the Ibanez baseplate, so there will be gaps, but its better than having gaps in your tone. Lol
Actually a quick and cheap upgrade for now would be to add an Original Floyd trem block or an aftermarket brass one. Either one will be so much better than the cast pot metal that on it and most anything that isnt a Floyd actually.

It won't drop in, I tried to do it and the posts aren't the same spacing, so the bridge sits crooked and the strings sit a few mm diagonal on the fretboard

No kidding?? I just know thatcit physically fits into the routing, never heard of the post spacing being different. What Gotoh trem are you saying has the same post spacing? The Gotoh 1996E is the same as an OFR.
