It always pictures as if it's pastel colors.....it's not, it's just as neon as my RFR. Bright colors and VERY glossy factory shiny finish. Equally difficult to photograph.

*I wanted to add, on my iPad's screen the colors actually look more truer to life*

It's spelled Orville, Oroville is a city in northern California.

Yeah, no kidding. Maybe the poll should reflect that, then?

Not sure how to edit the poll, or if I can.

Spelled it correctly in the post, punched in all the entries pretty quick for the poll though. All those years of traffic tickets and working at DirecTV caught up with me.

Haha. And now I've learned the name of another town in America.

Giant speed trap, been popped twice for speeding through there while on tour. Took traffic school for one of them. Also when I worked for DirecTV I called businesses up there constantly.

And what is sad is that I have been to Oroville and more than once......if there is a small town in the US with either a Firestone or Home Depot, I've most likely been there!!!!!!

Well if you know someone who does graphic design, I wanted to do a thing where every GOTS winner gets a banner at the top of the forum, because the stock photos of the guitars up there are pretty boring.

IbanezGuy
11-03-2015, 01:51 PM
Yeah, they are kinda old since they haven't changed much.....but I thought all those guitars in the banners were former GOTS winners from when the forum first started? Lol, I remember getting a PM from Jesse YEAAAAAARS ago when I used to be a member over on JEMsite. He emailed me about joining this forum. I always assumed those guitars belonged to former (inactive) members on here.

It would be really sweet to make those banners HD with member guitars.....some variety and more color (*cough* SWIRL! *cough*) would be cool to see.

Oh....and sorry, I don't know any graphic designers personally. However, these days making banners isn't hard using online software. I made some with custom logos for my forum (that I've since forgot how to find! Lol!) way back in 2009.

The Nightswan was a GOTM winner, back when it was monthly, that's it though, rest are from Musician's Friend or something.

Oh, Lol....I knew the Nightswan was but I figured the others were too. It would be way cooler if they were all member guitars

Exactly, and I've been trying to get someone to do it for cheap or possibly free ever since I started this.

That's the trick :)

Cosmic Ape did a couple for us. 2 or 3 of the banners are GOTM winners. I tried my hand at a few and they looked like balls. But if anybody feels up to giving it a shot, feel free.

If you don't mind paying, my friend does graphic design and I'm sure wouldn't charge an arm and a leg for the work.

I have several, all willing to hook it up, but not cheap enough for me to act on it.
