First up; thanks for looking and for helping out.
Recently a lot of members selling gear have been getting messages from scammers fishing for info, asking to contact them outside the forum. If you get asked to go outside the forum to trade, sell or buy gear by a member you do not know and who has 0 posts in the forum, chances are they are only fishing for your info.
Mind you, not ALL 0 post members are scammers. You will recognize a scammer's message by the fact scammers rarely mention what piece of gear they want to buy, sell, trade and will refer to the gear is 'it'.

LGT mod and admins are working Joes just like you all and can not monitor the forum 24/7.
We ask of you, in order to keep LeftyGuitarTrader safe for all our members, to report Personal Messages you suspect to be from scammers. The minute you report a 'fishy' message, an email is sent to all LGT mods and admins.
To avoid flooding mod and admins with report emails;
Before you hit [REPORT] on a message you suspect to be from a scammer, please check the list below for the username of the scammer that messaged you. Mod and admins will update this list with scammers usernames and dates when banned. When the username for the user you mean to report is on the list, this person has already been reported and you don't need to proceed.
Thanks.

Excellent post Olav. Unfortunately, the spammers have infinite accounts and infinite ways to get past the human verification tools. I'm pm'ing the owners of some huge boards to see what they do. Either way, no one is ever going to PM you out of nowhere with a random pm about contacting them outside the board...especially if the pm doesn't specifically mention a guitar or gear you are selling.
